Description
The School of Applied Sciences and Arts within in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts on the Polytechnic campus of Arizona State University invite applications to establish a pool for science Faculty Associates for the 2023-2024 academic year. The successful candidate(s) will teach undergraduate courses in biology, chemistry, physics and/or related disciplines; prepare class materials; evaluate student work; and hold office hours to assist students. Science Faculty Associates may also be responsible for teaching or oversight of lab and recitation sections. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed an average of .40 FTE per semester. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in biology, chemistry, genetics, physics or a related field at time of appointment
- Ability to teach in digital environments such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously)
- Commitment to advancing the ASU Charter
Desired Qualifications:
- Terminal Degree in biology, chemistry genetics, physics or related field at time of appointment
- Evidence of effective teaching
- One year of full-time teaching experience in a post-secondary environment
- Experience teaching in digital environments such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously)
- Evidence of activities consistent with the ASU Charter and Design Aspirations
