The School of Applied Sciences and Arts within the College of Integrative Arts and Sciences on the Polytechnic campus of Arizona State University invite applications to establish a pool for History Faculty Associates for the 2024-2025 academic year. The successful candidate(s) will teach undergraduate courses in History; prepare class materials; evaluate student work; and hold office hours to assist students. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed an average of .40 FTE per semester. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load.

• Master’s degree in History or a related field at time of appointment
• Ability to teach in digital environments such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously)
• Commitment to advancing the ASU Charter

Desired Qualifications:

• Terminal degree in History or related field at time of appointment
• Experience designing undergraduate History courses
• Evidence of effective teaching
• One year of full-time teaching experience in a post-secondary environment
• Experience teaching in digital environments such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously)
• Evidence of activities consistent with the ASU Charter and Design Aspirations
