Essential Duties

  • Supervises and facilitates the development of high impact training materials, training content, training delivery modes, or workshops, meetings and conferences with program/project participants; oversees logistics, scheduling and target audience communications.
  • Assists with the development of procedures related to the youth protection program.
  • Assists with the implementation of a youth protection activity registration software.
  • Monitors the youth protection activity registration system for activity compliance.
  • Provide guidance and resources to the University community on youth protection procedures.
  • Serves as the administrator for Smartsheet by overseeing the implementation of new projects and automations into the application and maintaining existing sheets and workspaces.
  • Manage special event liquor licenses and permits in coordination with ASU departments and the Office of General Counsel.
  • Oversees the evaluation of both the statewide and regional programs'/projects' effectiveness to develop and implement the goals and objectives of the program/project including: improved methods of program/project delivery; evaluation methodology design and implementation including analysis of results and takes or recommends proper action based on outcomes.
  • Develops and monitors daily operations and coordinates program/project activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to develop proposals for external funding of projects.
  • Skill in planning, budgeting, implementing and evaluating projects.
  • Knowledge of processes to conduct needs assessments.
  • Skill in designing training materials and presentations to meet needs assessed.
  • Ability to implement training, session reviews, and follow-up procedures.
  • Knowledge of processes for dissemination of results through presentations, reports, and publications.
  • Skill in both verbal and written communication.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and establishing and facilitating work teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field AND five years administrative/coordination experience; OR, Master's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND three years administrative/coordination experience; OR Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements and guidance pertaining to protection of minors.
  • Experience working within a team.
  • Evidence of effective communication skills.
  • Experience working independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in being detail-oriented and a creative thinker
  • Experience in strategizing and solving complex problems.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Adobe, Slack, Zoom, and other relatively common applications is a plus.
  • Experience in adapting and shifting priorities, quickly and effectively as required.
  • Experience in organizing and prioritizing work activities.

Working Environment

  • Majority of activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting.
  • Use of E-mail, phone, and computer equipment (monitor, keyboard, mouse) for extended periods of time.
  • Use of office equipment: printers, copiers, fax machines, telephones, calculators.
  • Lift and transport up to 20 pounds.
