Job Description

Under general supervision by the Director, Partnership Activation, the Partnership Activation Coordinator will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution of marketing assets, and day-to-day management and servicing of assigned partnership accounts for Sun Devil Athletics. The Partnership Activation Coordinator acts as the liaison between partners and/or their agencies and internal departments of Sun Devil Athletics and Arizona State University. Adheres to NCAA and Conference rules and regulations, as well as the policies and procedures of the Sun Devil Athletics, Arizona State University, and the Arizona Board of Regents.

Essential Duties

  • Coordinate a portfolio of accounts with ongoing communication, planning of each account’s overall activation strategy, and execution of marketing assets
  • Prepare Account Execution Plans to deliver on partner marketing objectives and strategic priorities with support from sales colleagues
  • Develop new marketing and promotion strategies and share with sales colleagues to present to current partners for incremental revenue opportunities
  • Coordinate, strategize, and fulfill partner marketing assets with other Sun Devil Athletics and Arizona State University departments
  • Track and manage budgets relating to the execution of accounts
  • Facilitate regular status meetings or calls with each account to provide detailed proof of performance reports and continually evaluate the effectiveness of the partnership
  • Provide hospitality to partners and their guests at athletic events and department events
  • Take a key role in account renewals
  • Maintain and update client service-related elements within KORE CRM
  • Maintain thorough communication with Director, Partnership Activation regarding all partner activity
  • Lead, coordinate, and manage the entire fulfillment process of one asset category; signage, radio, print, social media & digital, or hospitality for all partners, as assigned by Director, Partnership Activation
  • Responsible for acquiring proof of performance and the tracking of all account assets delivered used to build yearend summaries and present to partners to positively impact sales colleagues in partner renewals, retention, and growth
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years administrative/coordinator program experience; OR, Six years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinator program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • Demonstrated experience in a sponsorship role in collegiate athletics or professional sports
  • Evidence of ability to work independently, exercise discretion and independent judgment and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Evidence of ability to prioritize workload, manage time and projects, and demonstrate flexibility
  • Evidence of ability to communicate professionally and effectively both written and orally, and with persons at multiple levels and of diverse backgrounds
  • Evidence of lyalty to the brand, co-workers, and the overall organization
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in MS Office, KORE CRM, and Adobe Creative Suite

Working Environment

  • Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
  • Ability to have flexible work schedule; may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
  • May be required to travel on occasion.
  • Some activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
  • Some activities are performed outdoors, in weather indigenous to a desert environment, and are subject to extended periods of standing, walking, pushing, pulling and lifting to perform work.
  • Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.
