We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager, Media to join our team. Under the administrative direction of the EdPlus at ASU Marketing leadership team, the Marketing Manager, Media will be responsible for overseeing the analysis and interpretation of marketing data to drive strategic decision-making and optimize marketing performance in support of EdPlus goals. This role ensures accurate reporting and visualization of key marketing metrics and collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and provide actionable insights that support business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, extensive experience with data analytics tools, and the ability to effectively communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Essential Duties

  • Manages processes across teams, including the development of creative briefing and trafficking, campaign flowcharts and optimizations, media budgets, and performance reporting.
  • Works closely with EdPlus marketing leadership and agency partners, provides campaign briefs, reviews agency campaign recommendations, and provides recommendations to EdPlus marketing leadership.
  • Ensures integration of EdPlus and external agency marketing efforts with enterprise-level marketing initiatives.
  • Responsible for budget planning and management, works closely with agency partners to ensure that media spend allocation is effective and budget targets are achieved, making recommendations for shift in spend when necessary.
  • Identifies trends and insights and collaborates with external vendors and internal partners on opportunities for improved performance.
  • Analyzes market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and develop data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies.
  • Monitors and reviews marketing performance reports and incorporates them into internal dashboards as appropriate to ensure KPI targets are being met, identifies trends and areas of opportunity.
  • Audits ASU Online Google Analytics account regularly and works with EdPlus to ensure data cleanliness and goal-tracking accuracy.
  • Leverages existing dashboards and finds opportunities for new ones in cooperation and collaboration with Enterprise teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with paid media and analytics experts across ASU Enterprise-level Partners to create a more streamlined approach of best practices, ASU Enterprise-level wide strategy, and transparency.
  • Prepares regular reports and presentations to communicate campaign performance, key findings, and actionable insights to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Assumes or coordinates other duties or projects as assigned or directed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or closely related field AND five (5) years of experience in a public relations/marketing role; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications
  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Evidence of strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including SEO, SEM, social media advertising, content marketing, and digital media planning and buying (e.g., paid search, display, paid social, retargeting).
  • Analytics Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in using marketing analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio) to track, analyze, and report campaign performance metrics. Intermediate knowledge of marketing technology stack and rules-based lead nurturing.
  • Communication Skills: Evidence of effective communication skills; adept at conveying complex ideas and insights.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Evidence of leadership and team management experience; effective in stakeholder collaboration.
  • Critical Thinking: Evidence of strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; adaptable to changing environments.
  • Project Management: Organizational skills; thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven settings.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated success in multi-channel marketing and ROI measurement.

Working Environment

EdPlus at ASU is located at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center. The center houses a diverse business community that links technology, research, education, and entrepreneurship to position ASU and Greater Phoenix as global leaders in the knowledge economy.

Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting or standing. Daily use of desktop or laptop computer is required. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties. Regular review of completed tasks.

EdPlus at ASU supports flexible work options, ranging from alternate work schedules to hybrid remote work schedules, subject to approvals per ASU policy. (This is not a fully remote position.)
