Job Description

The W. P. Carey School of Business, Department of Information Systems is looking for a highly motivated and creative Program Coordinator, Sr. that can coordinate multiple tasks and priorities for our Experiential Learning Initiatives within the School. Through initiative, independent judgment and attention to detail, the position coordinates our Experiential Learning initiatives for several of our graduate programs including our AI in Business, Business Analytics and Information Systems degrees. The position will work with our Program Manager, faculty and corporate partners to ensure capstone and applied projects are in place for our graduate programs. Additionally, they will bring a mindset to this work that is grounded in the ASU Design Aspiration, Practice Principled Innovation (PI) in partnership with the W. P. Carey PI College Catalysts.

Essential Duties

  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships and outreach with external organizations, including businesses, non-profits, government agencies, and community groups, to provide diverse experiential learning opportunities.
  • Maintain agreements, contracts, and memorandum of understanding (MOUs) with partners to formalize program and project goals and data to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes within the experiential learning initiative.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders to effectively manage day-to-day activities of our Experiential Learning Initiatives.
  • Assist in identifying suitable project opportunities that align with program learning outcomes and industry needs.
  • Be an ambassador for the ASU Design Aspiration, Practice Principled Innovation, both in the process of cultivating projects as well as the framing of their plans
  • Responsible for data collection and reporting activities that inform decisions to maximize program outcomes.
  • Respond to all inquiries regarding program interest and status.
  • Organize and oversee all presentations showcasing possible projects with faculty directors, students and program teams.
  • Proactively identify, develop and deploy solutions to improve effectiveness of program operations.
  • Evaluate project effectiveness and collect feedback from participants to continuously improve the applied project experience.
DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm at the Tempe campus. Schedule may include some evening and weekend hours.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND four years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Master's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Eight years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Working Environment

  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
  • Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
  • Deliver presentations.
  • Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Regular managerial review of results and objectives.
  • Use of software and computer equipment (monitor, keyboard, mouse) for extended periods of time. Travel to host events.
