Essential Duties

  • Generates student leads interested in the three programs via various lead generation activities: B2B business development efforts, hosting in-person and virtual information sessions, scheduling and conducting face-to-face appointments, phone calls, and online communication channels to provide program benefits and admissions requirements.
  • Assists with targeted diversity recruitment: military, women, ethnic, geographic, etc. Primary roles to include: assists teams in diversity messaging and communication, creates email templates, assists admission with tracking applications, assists management with creating a follow-up plan to nature connections made events and tracks diverse prospects in campaigns through the admissions cycle.
  • Assists the Recruitment and Admissions Team in identifying specific market trends that could potentially affect recruiting strategies, and develops recruitment and admission strategies around them.
  • Strategizes, plans and executes grassroot recruit efforts to promote all three executive degree programs, while building relationship and rapport with prospective students.
  • Maintains effective communication with prospective students regarding degree programs.
  • Manages prospective students by maintaining extensive contacts, monitoring application progress from start to completion, identifying and resolving problems.
  • Leverages Salesforce (CRM system) to track and monitor lead activity and application status. Collaborates with Operations team on end-of-cycle clean up, program audits, final program data collection.
  • Qualifies prospective students and retains the overall interest of admitted students between admit and the launch date of the program while working in tandem with individual program managers.
  • Represents the degree programs through various presentations and attends activities such as college fairs and community meetings.
  • Coordinates and may assist in creating internal and external communications to new student leads, prospective students and admitted students via letters, articles, newsletter support, phone and, E-mail interactions.
  • Plans and coordinates on and off campus recruitment activities and events for prospective students.
  • Disseminates informational material to prospective students (i.e., admission and financial aid applications).
  • Collaborates with the Branding and Communications department on marketing projects and creative initiatives; assists in executing quarterly updates on web and other marketing materials in order to ensure accurate and consistent data is being presented and disseminated appropriately.
  • Acts as liaison and develops strong relationships with local organizations, corporations, Alumni, current student cohorts and other local networks that can aide recruitment efforts in the assigned markets through a variety of communication methods.
  • Attends and participates in meetings and training sessions designated by supervisor.
  • Acts as School and program representative located at Thunderbird's Washington D.C. Center of Excellence location.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND five (5) years of directly related experience; one (1) of which includes promotional sales, marketing or similar experience; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Travel commitments may include domestic and international requirements involving extended and/or protracted periods of time.

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing/selling techniques; preferably in a higher education setting and with executive level graduate programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current issues and trends in graduate management education and related admission practices.
  • Experience with student recruitment and graduate admission practices.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations pertaining to international students.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices related to academic advising, recruitment/retention, and/or other student support functions.
  • Experience developing and conducting group presentations targeted to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining productive working relationships.
  • Experience in strategic planning and decision-making principles and procedures.
  • Experience in using organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in creating brand awareness campaigns.

Working Environment

  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse
  • Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds
  • Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions
