This role reports directly into the Deputy Chief Information Officer, Operational Excellence & Digital Transformation.

Essential Duties
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for Technology Shared Services in alignment with ASU’s charter and Enterprise Technology’s strategic priorities including Generative AI based on a shared vision centered around outcomes, stakeholder engagement, execution, and delivery
- Provide inspirational leadership and coaching to a team of technologists responsible for delivering and supporting a wide range of services including collaboration tools, communication platforms, Mergers & Acquisitions, vendor relationship management, as well as other service delivery functions
- Foster a culture of collaboration, empowerment, continuous improvement, continuous learning, and accountability toward developing a high-performing team
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, and technology partners across the university to become a trusted partner
- Develop and implement strategies using industry-proven methodologies and best practices for service ownership and service delivery
- Establish and monitor metrics to track performance, identify strategic and tactical opportunities, and to inform decision making
- Drive strategic direction of a large software and tools portfolio including planning, optimizing value, budget allocation and cost containment, and risk mitigation with supporting business acumen
- Navigate leadership in a matrix organization while diplomatically driving ruthless prioritization
- Bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a purpose-driven approach
- Take responsibility for fostering culture, advancing our values, and championing engagement in all its forms -- collaborating across our teams as well as participating in ET/ASU events and programs

Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment, and eight (8) years of related administrative experience which includes five (5) years of supervisory experience; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading from the front in a dynamic technology organization
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology with a strong focus on service delivery and operations
- Strong technical acumen with 8+ years directly responsible for building and delivering technology solutions
- Effectively and regularly communicates and collaborates with cross-functional teams both inside and outside of a technology organization
- Ability to navigate ambiguity with stakeholders and technology teams from concept to execution through to implementation
- Willingness to dive into the work, when needed, to demonstrate how work is done to assist in driving initiatives to completion
- Has a growth mindset and embraces continuous improvement whether refining current frameworks or implementing a new approach
- Proactively identifies and communicates critical risks to leadership
- Fosters a safe psychological space for all teammates where everyone can thrive
- Ability to stimulate changes in individual, institutional, and corporate behaviors to create a more sustainable environment
Working Environment
- Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of being stationary and moving between office spaces.
- Position requires use of computer (desktop and/or laptop, keyboard, mouse).
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities.
- Ability to clearly communicate and use a diversity of technologies to communicate with the broader team.
