The Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (ACMRS) is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Program Coordinator, Sr. to join our ongoing Mellon Foundation-funded RaceB4Race initiative. This is a full-time staff position, reporting to the ACMRS Portfolio Manager Research. The Program Coordinator Sr. will work on a variety of ACMRS projects; however, their main focus will be the “RB4R: Modeling a new Scholarly Community” award.

Essential Duties
On the “RB4R: Modeling a new Scholarly Community” award, the Program Coordinator will:
- Act as a central point of communication for all x24 Throughlines scholars (x8 scholars/year) who, in collaboration with the ACMRS team, will create a full spectrum of premodern critical race studies content for use in higher education.
- Be responsible for managing the external communication to these scholars including, but not limited to, content collection gathering, scheduling scholar filming, booking travel, reserving venues, and most importantly, making sure that clear expectations are communicated, and that all inquiries and follow-up messaging is completed in a responsive and timely manner.
- Assist in communicating with multiple subaward project teams, making sure they remain on-track with their various project activities.
- Work closely and collaboratively with ASU team members and invited scholars (see details above).
- Help to manage and streamline external communication; track project scope, strategy, budget, and milestone outcomes; assist in monitoring project expectations; work on project administrative tasks.
- Update project management software, purchase justifications, and draft reporting; and monitor project expectations with the team.
- Specifically, the Program Coordinator Sr. will be responsible for monitoring, updating, and utilizing ACMRS’s project management software, Monday.com, to stay organized and on-track with all project activities. Most commonly, this software is how the ASU team tracks the progress of our Throughlines scholars’ content (written content, media content, supplementary materials, etc.).
- Assist in preparing and maintaining all project status reports and schedules; track milestones/deliverables; and re-set expectations as needed in consideration of project progress/outcomes.
- In collaboration with larger ACMRS staff, assist with running and organizing other concurrent ACMRS events and programming including annual RB4R symposium and conference activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND four years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Master's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Eight years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

- Evidence of a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree
- Experience managing large-scale projects/activities.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles and practices pertaining to the RaceB4Race initiative.
- Experience in working with diverse constituencies and clientele.
- Experience in planning, analyzing and coordinating activities and establishing priorities.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Evidence in effective communication skills with a strong focus on collaboration and a high level of customer service.
- Evidence of problem-solving, critical thinking and time management skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant computer applications: Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), Dropbox, Google Drive, Slack, Workday, etc.
- Experience working with Project Management systems such as Monday.com.
- Experience in and willingness to learn quickly and apply new skillsets.
Working Environment
- Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting
- Use office equipment including a desktop computer. Lift up to 20 pounds

- Ability to work both independently or within a complex structured team
