The Project Manager Research works closely and collaboratively with Associate Director, Culturally Responsive Research, Principal Investigator(s), research team, and other stake holders to assist in planning, directing, organizing, executing and implementing project requirements; identifies and acquires necessary resources and coordinates efforts by all parties to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes in accordance with sponsoring source's expectations.

Essential Duties
Serves as a subject matter expert in improving science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) curricula through professional development opportunities. Specifically work with faculty and other educators to reimagine introductory college-level science courses (e.g., biology and chemistry), and enhance student learning outcomes at the course, program and institutional/college level.
Collaborate with Associate Director of (Culturally Responsive) Research and assist with research-related activities that include but are not limited to the following:
- Research design
- Data collection (e.g., strong ability to collect survey and interview data);
- Data analysis (e.g., strong ability to use softwares like SPSS and NVivo or ATLAS.ti to assist quantitative and qualitative analysis);
- Data interpretation (e.g., strong confidence in their process of analyzing and making sense of data to draw conclusions and recommendations);
- Creative ways to present the findings to diverse stakeholders/learners; and
- Support scholarship opportunities (e.g.g, conference proposals and academic publications, research briefs, etc.)
Assist with the diverse research projects’ coordination and management and assist with other tasks that ensure the completion of successful projects on their respective timeline.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years related experience; two (2) of which are in project management.
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge – practical work experience in STEM instruction and improving faculty mindsets towards enhancing students' success, and producing an equitable and inclusive environment for all.
Education – EdD degree in higher education (e.g., faculty mindset expertise)
Working Environment
- Working environment is one that raises awareness of and interest in addressing and pursuing understanding of the complexity and criticality of work pertaining to equity and inclusion in STEM education.
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended period of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
- Frequently required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distance to perform work.
- Ability to communicate to perform essential functions.
