Description

The Department of Marketing in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University invites applications for two full-time, benefits-eligible, career track positions at the Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor rank beginning August 2025.

Essential Functions:

Contribute to the school’s mission in the areas of teaching and service. Participate in teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses and curriculum development related to general marketing with an emphasis on digital marketing, advertising, marketing research, and/or other key topic areas within marketing. Engage in service activities such as assisting with student engagement opportunities related to marketing including advising student organizations and directing Honors theses, and participate on department, W. P. Carey School of Business, and/or University committees.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Clinical Assistant Professor – 1) A Ph.D. in Marketing, Business Administration or related field which must be earned by time of appointment; 2) Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence at the undergraduate and/or graduate level as evidenced by such indicators as strong communication skills or strong teaching evaluations.

Clinical Associate Professor – 1) Ph. D. in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; 2) The equivalent of 5 years of full-time teaching at a 4-year institution; 3) Demonstrated teaching excellence at the undergraduate and/or graduate level as evidenced by indicators such as strong teaching evaluations, course innovation, and strong communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

1) Expertise in digital marketing, advertising, marketing research, and/or other key topic areas within marketing

2) Excellence in teaching courses in marketing shown by such indicators as consistently strong teaching evaluations and teaching awards

3) Teaching experience in a variety of platforms (including in-person and online) and levels (undergraduate and graduate);

4) A record of scholarship related to marketing as evidenced by publications or papers,

5) Evidence of ability to innovate, work collaboratively to achieve goals, and engage in inclusive practices.

Application deadline is February 28, 2025. Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis for a reserve pool. Applications in the reserve pool may then be reviewed every two weeks in the order in which they were received until the position is filled. 2) a curriculum vitae
3) a teaching statement with any evidence of teaching competency/teaching evaluations (if available)
