The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship in the W. P. Carey School of Business at ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY (Tempe) invites applications for a nontenure-track, clinical assistant professor position in the area of Business Law. The appointment begins in Fall 2025. While the faculty may teach online courses, we are NOT hiring faculty who teach exclusively online.
Essential Functions: The individual will effectively teach business law, ethics, and related courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, serve as a mentor to students, and interact effectively with colleagues to support and enhance our collaborative department culture. This is primarily a teaching role with a standard course load of 4-4.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate is required to possess the following:
- A Juris Doctorate.
- Active or inactive membership in good standing to a bar association in the United States.
- Experience teaching business law and related courses effectively at the university level.
- Demonstrate potential for teaching excellence at the undergraduate and/or graduate level as evidenced by organization and communications skills or strong teaching evaluations.
- Terminal degree is due at the time of the appointment
Desired Qualifications
Preference will be given to individuals with:
- Ability to meet AACSB business accreditation standards for participating faculty.
- Ability to develop course curriculum that engages and effectively supports teaching and learning.
- Experience and willingness to teach in innovative ways.
- Teaching experience in a variety of platforms including fully online and face-to-face.
