Description

The Faculty of Science and Mathematics in the School of Applied Sciences and Arts at Arizona State University's College of Integrative Sciences and Arts invites applications for an Anatomy and Physiology Instructor position on the Polytechnic Campus for the 2026–2027 academic year. The successful candidate will teach lecture and laboratory courses serving both non-majors and Applied Biological Sciences majors. Depending on program needs and the candidate’s expertise, course assignments may include anatomy and physiology, general biology, animal physiology, and related disciplines.

Primary responsibilities include teaching, developing course materials and syllabi, designing and evaluating student assessments and laboratory experiments, and continuously refining instructional methods. The instructor will collaborate with faculty on curriculum development, planning, and implementation as part of the Applied Biological Sciences team, working alongside colleagues in chemistry, mathematics, and physics to advance CISA's commitment to excellence in undergraduate education.

Teaching load is typically five courses that equals 15 credit hours per semester or an equivalent combination of lecture and laboratory sections. All course assignments are at the undergraduate level and may be delivered in a variety of modalities, including in-person, online, and hybrid formats, on the Polytechnic campus. Course schedules and teaching assignments will be determined by the Faculty Head based on programmatic needs.

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure eligible position renewable on an academic year basis contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of resources, and the needs of the university. Candidate must reside in Arizona or be willing to relocate.
