WHAT YOU'LL DO

The FP&A Manager is critical to the Commercial FP&A team and is a key point of contact that interacts with the commercial and marketing team across multiple business categories. This role is responsible for providing insightful analysis and reporting to help drive performance. This includes items such as monthly results/analysis, forecasting and long-rang planning. There is frequent interaction with senior executives including the CFO. This role produces important deliverables in support of commercial reviews, senior leadership meetings, and other critical Finance materials.

This position will work a hybrid schedule from our Burlington, MA office location.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME

  • Provide critical insight on business trends and strategic initiatives; Develop insightful analysis over and above conventional reporting to add value to the business
  • Prepare annual commercial budget, quarterly forecasts, and actual reporting against plan; Drive corrective action planning
  • Develop appropriate reporting/dashboards to provide visibility into trends, pricing performance and other key business KPIs
  • Support initiatives targeted at financial processes improvement and the implementation of changes to achieve efficiencies and the company’s objectives
  • Use business balanced scorecard metrics, billings (revenue) drivers and other key metrics to model scenarios for the business and mitigate risks and/or capture opportunities
  • Partner closely with sales operations to provide accurate billing and revenue forecasts; work to increase granularity of data driven drivers for market and billings visibility.
  • Partner closely with Segment accounting team on judgment-based accounting and ensuring appropriate business controls are in place across the business
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and financial analyses at multiple levels of complexity, including commercial billings, marketing, cost analysis financial performance comparisons
  • Collaborate across corporate FP&A and systems finance to ensure FP&A software (Planful) is appropriately updated/maintained and key inputs are accurately updated on a timely basis.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, business analytics, or other related fields.
  • 7+ years in FP&A (preferably both corporate and segment FP&A). Additional finance experience demonstrating breadth of experience is preferred.
  • Ability to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in budgeting/forecasting preferably within a commercial & marketing setting; Understanding eCommerce, Lead generation and marketing support is a plus
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills along with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent tight deadlines while maintaining effective executive presence
  • Strong Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications essential; database and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI or Tableau) a plus
