Now in its 15th year, the ASU+GSV Summit is the world’s most important and impactful gathering of leaders across “Pre-K to Gray” education and workforce learning. The annual event is held in April in San Diego, where, in 2023, over 7,000 in-person registrants (a record) and 10,000 virtual attendees gathered to address the transformation of learning and skills delivery leveraging key developments in technology including generative artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and many other solutions. The community included a wide dispersion of sector leaders: 1,000 K-12 principals, superintendents, and leaders; 1,000 higher education Provosts, Presidents, Chancellors, and leaders; 1,200 enterprise leaders; 650 investors; and 1,700 edtech founders. 66 countries were represented including large contingents from Latin America, India, Africa, and Europe. Keynote speakers included Tencent Co-founder and Yidan Prize founder, Charles Chen; Stanford Dean, Dan Schwartz, Bill Gates, Sheryl Sandberg, Colorado Governor Jared Polis, Sal Khan, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Arne Duncan, Bari Weiss, Mitch Kapor and Freada Kapor Klein, Sheryl Lee Ralph, amongst many, many others. ASU+GSV also hosts the GSV Cup, the world’s largest global competition for early-stage education technology companies attracting over 900 applicants.
