WHAT WE ARE SEEKING At GSV, we believe that innovations in learning and skills across the “Pre-K to Gray” spectrum are the critical lever for ALL people to have this access. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and experienced Program Manager for the most impactful convening of leaders in “Pre-K to Gray” learning and skills technology. This role is part editor, part talent agent and perfect for you if you have an insatiable curiosity about the people and topics impacting innovations in global learning and skill. You will work hand-in-hand with our Summit team, industry-defining portfolio companies and their visionary CEOs, educators, investors and industry leaders to assemble the most important global voices to build a world-class program experience. You’ll leverage your knowledge of the industry to curate content across a variety of channels, exploring the entire "Pre-K through Gray" spectrum including early childhood, K-12, higher education, adult learning, and more. The Program Manager thrives in a fast-paced environment on a high performing team, and is positioned to leverage exceptional program management, communications, and logistics experience to produce, evolve and set the bar for what world-class events look like. The ideal candidate likely has large-scale (150+ sessions involving 500+ speakers) program management experience and an understanding of the Edtech landscape pre-k to gray with the intellectual curiosity to put the pieces together. This person will report to the General Manager + Managing Partner of the GSV Ventures Fund and work closely with members across both the Fund and summit team. WHO YOU ARE EXPERIENCE ● Bachelor’s degree preferred ● Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position ● Project management experience ● Experience working with in-person and virtual conferences, seminars, workshops, meetings, committees or events ● Experience in the Ed Tech space preferred SKILLS: ● Exceptionally organized and systematic, with extraordinary attention to detail ● Stellar written and oral communication skills, with the ability to grasp and translate complex and disparate ideas into cohesive and clear key messages delivered in a conversational tone across mediums and audiences ● Strong facilitation skills and business presentation skills ● Ability to work independently and an aptitude for multi-tasking ● Ability to interact and collaborate well with all levels of the organization, including senior executives, external partners or vendors and more ● A proven self-starter who is comfortable tracking and managing multiple versions of a single piece, with a strong attention to detail and proven process for content management ● Graceful under pressure, resilient, and flexible in the face of change and revisions ● Comfortable working under tight deadlines with ability to deliver quality work quickly, when needed ● Excellent time management WHAT YOU WILL DO Content Curation ● Curate content (panels, workshops, book-signings, keynotes, receptions, etc.) to determine must-discuss topics across our many channels (K-12, higher education, workforce, machine learning, equity and access, policy and legislative efforts, etc.) ● Engage with partners to determine who we are bringing to the table in order to bring each topic to life ● Manage partner communications, negotiations, and problem-solving relevant to program content ● Engage staff working on the development of the conference program ● Working closely with staff responsible for sponsor engagement and communications for the conference Program Management ● Build the conference program project plan ● Set clear deadlines for all milestones related to the conference program and tracking adherence to those deadlines ● Plan and monitor program execution ● Ensure that the General Manager and Managing Partner are informed about important key dates and deadlines for program building processes ● Project coordination and managing project interdependencies ● Coordinate program documentation ● Align or realign deliverables with program outcomes ● Identify and address problems and risks Program Logistics & Experience ● Oversee the onsite roll-out of the programmatic content for ASU/GSV annual summit and other virtual events. ● Work closely with the Summit operations team ● Manage assigned projects such as Opening and Closing sessions and VIP engagement ● Perform any additional tasks requested by the Summit team GSV is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in our company.
