Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for orchestration and support of Cloud cluster computing platforms like Azure Databricks, AKS etc,
  • Responsible for optimization of cloud infrastructure including Databricks, ADLS, Blob, VMs etc.,
  • Conduct Proof-of-Concept activities in support of advanced use cases
  • Responsible for support of Cloud infrastructure, including possible on call responsibility
  • Responsible for securing the infrastructure adhering to the established internal security standards
  • Must have architectural focus for ensuring availability, reliability and scalability are necessary
  • Responsible for documenting the technical solutions
  • Responsible for working with international teams spread across multiple time zones

Must Haves:

  • 6+ years’ experience in RDBMS, ANSI SQL/PL SQL, Hadoop, Python and/or Java
  • Experience supporting highly complex IT infrastructure
  • Deep understanding of (Azure) cloud computing technologies like ADLS, Blob Storage, Private links, Firewall, NSG
  • At least one cluster computing platform (Hadoop or Snowflake or Databricks)
  • Experience with JDBC/ODBC
  • Git/Github or Azure DevOps
  • Azure Event Hub/ Azure Event Grid / Kafka

Additional experience:

  • Working with Object storage ( ADLS/Blob or S3), Kubernetes (preferably AKS)
  • Hadoop Administration and/or Azure cloud Administration
  • Azure AD/ OpenID /OAuth/ SAML
  • NSG /Firewall deployment and usage
  • DNS configuration and management
  • Automation through Ansible or Teraform or Azure DevOps
  • Orchestration or provisioning of VMs and IaaS through Ansible or Terraform or Azure DevOps
  • Basic Linux administration and Shell scripting (Bash)
  • Good documentation skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot to isolate and diagnose common technical problems
  • Spark/PySpark knowledge is a plus
  • Monitoring and use of monitoring tools for managing critical infrastructure

Skill Set:
· Strong Linux exp – Operationally (Mandatory)
· Working exp in Azure cloud (Mandatory)
· Working experience with Databricks - Azure Databricks preferred (Mandatory)
· CI/CD: Azure DevOps (Mandatory)
· Infra as code: Terraform (Mandatory)
· Automation Management Tool: Ansible (Advantage)
· Experience in scripting such as Shell script,Python
· Knowledge of DB , DWH, BI (Power BI)
· Added advantage: Azure certifications (Fundamentals, Security, Administration, DevOps)
Added advantage: Exp in Hadoop-NiFi,Knowledge in Pyspark/scala

Educational Qualification : University Degree in Computer Science and/or Analytics
Minimum Experience required: 6-9 years
