Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality, and operational needs. Build scalable and performant systems. Participate in the software product development life cycle including inception, production launch, and post-production support. Design modular and scalable web components utilizing Microservice technologies, Spring frameworks, and Apache Cassandra. Work with portfolio stakeholders, and enterprise architects to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of features and enablers. Build high quality code following unit testing and test-driven development. Establish critical NFRs at the solution level and participate in the definition of others. Drive and participate in code and document reviews. Collaborate with peer organizations, development operations, and support organizations on technical issues and provide guidance. Interpret and translate business needs to technical requirements and accurate estimates. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance is achieved. Work with teams to troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently. Apply deep technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problems. Focus on scalability, security, and availability of all applications and processes. Contribute to design and architecture in order to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation building scalable and performant systems; designing modular and scalable web components utilizing Microservice technologies, Spring frameworks, and Apache Cassandra; building high quality code following unit testing and test-driven development; working with teams to troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently; focusing on scalability, security, and availability of all applications and processes; and contributing to design and architecture in order to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software.
Our Senior- Software Engineers earn between $168,709 - $215,800 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
