Job Overview

Senior Software Engineering Manager needed by AT&T Services, Inc. in Dallas, TX [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home] to build the customer experience to track and manage orders post submission across different channels. Design and develop various initiatives for the customer and employee digital experience across consumer distribution channels. Lead the software product development life cycle from inception to production launch and post-production support. Design modular and scalable web components. Lead large cross-organizational software development projects. Utilize web and MicroService technologies. Lead the strategic alignment of application development roadmaps to application and enterprise strategies. Provide technical design and architectural leadership to multiple teams and projects to help ensure applications are integrated and adhere to stated architectural and design principles and standards. Drive efforts to create, design, develop, and implement technology-enabled business and technical information solutions encompassing multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies. Research, analyze, and recommend new technologies, rationalization opportunities, standard processes, tools, and techniques to further the firm’s application and enterprise technology architecture strategies. Review business processes and technical solution designs to help ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technologies. Own key initiatives and deliverables especially in order management and other post purchase capabilities. Provide functional and technical leadership to other lead engineers, architects, product managers and quality analysts. Develop methodology, architecture, security, and change. Perform configuration management and ensure compliance. Perform complex engineering activities for performance tuning, monitoring, deployment, and production support. Build Java-based high-volume and high-transaction e-commerce applications. Create web applications using Java, Spring, and REST. Perform application delivery. Use NoSQL, Cassandra, Groovy, Apache Kafka, and AWS. Supervise one (1) Senior Scrum Master, one (1) Principal Engineer, and two (2) Senior Software Engineers.

Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Applied Computer Science or Information Systems and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in a related occupation designing modular and scalable web components; utilizing web and MicroService technologies; developing methodology, architecture, security, and change; performing configuration management and ensuring compliance; building Java-based high-volume and high-transaction e-commerce applications; creating web applications using Java, Spring, and REST; performing application delivery; and using NoSQL, Cassandra, Groovy, Apache Kafka, and AWS.

Our Senior Software Engineering Managers earn between $170,000 - $231,100 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
