AT&T has an opening for a Deputy Program Manager to oversee PMO and contract activities for a large technical operations and maintenance program.

Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities: This supervisory position serves as the Deputy Program Manager for a 220+ FTE contract responsible for a network operations center and associated services. The Deputy Program Manager, Performance Team Lead, and supporting overall operations as the backup to the PM will have overall responsibilities for quality assurance, contract financial and schedule performance, training, and continuous improvement/innovation.

  • Plan, prepare, and support the efforts necessary to drive the customer's network operations vision to fruition.
  • Stay informed on applicable current technologies, analyze private sector service trends, evaluate commercial services against customer's services, offer innovative recommendations based on these technologies, and provide service recommendations that enhance value to customer-base, as well as business/mission objectives.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement cost recovery mechanisms with customer's approval.
  • Monitor service utilization of the customer's Mission Partners and recommend and execute changes that enhance customer's service efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Recommend changes to policies/ procedures/ processes that boost the quality of the services supported under this SOW.
  • Strive to implement improvements that drive closure of incident tickets at the lowest Tier level.

Required Qualifications: Candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

  • Recent, relevant experience as the program manager, deputy program manager, large technical group manager, or operations management on an enterprise size technical operations program in a 24x365 environment.
  • Candidate must have excellent interpersonal, personnel management, and communications skills.
  • Must have a solid understanding of complex networking and enterprise operations and a working knowledge of a project management framework such as lean six sigma, agile, PMP, and/or ITIL.
  • Work location is customer site and successful candidate should be flexible to be work at any customer location as needed in the Washington DC area with primary work location in McLean VA.
  • Remote work is not available.
  • Some travel to CONUS or OCONUS sites may be required in support of this program.
  • In order to be considered for this position, you must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Our Director Program Management earns between $143800 - $215800 + 19% Team yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
