Job Overview

DUTIES: Develop, test, and certify Layer 2, 3, and 4 technologies on multiple vendor hardware and software platforms based on customized or generic design. Identify and define software and hardware problems and develop viable solutions and alternatives. Use system utilities and automation to effectively resolve hardware and software problems. Work closely with hardware and software vendor(s) to identify and fix bugs. Perform detail root cause analysis and bug validation in certification lab environment. Provide ongoing support to operation partners. Collaborate with operations to replicate issues in labs in the case of production issues. Work with vendors to get the fix for production issue. Design, test, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware and software issues. Install, configure, test, troubleshoot, administer, monitor, and maintain various network operating systems. Utilize networking technologies including VxLAN, QoS, CoS, BGP, VPLS/VPWS, ethernet, VRFs, security, and firewalls. Use virtualized network functions technologies including VNFs, KVM, and VMware. Apply advanced knowledge of containerization platforms including Docker and Kubernetes. Develop automation using Ansible and Jenkins. Apply multivendor platforms expertise of Cisco IOS, IOS-XR, Cisco CRS, Cisco ASR 9000, Juniper MX, and T-Series platforms including JunOS. Design, test, and implement multi-level network platform technology systems. Install, configure, test, troubleshoot, administer, monitor, and maintain various network operating systems, associated software, virtual management systems, servers, networking, clustering, storage, and software applications for architectures supporting a variety of virtualization technologies. Utilize scripting experience using Python, Shell, TCL, Perl, and Selenium to create automation. Configure Keysight IXIA, Spirent, ANUE, JDSU, Trex, and Ostinato test equipment. Perform switching and transparent bridging using VTP, STP, and RPVST+. Use RAD/RADview, Ciena SAOS/NOS, Arista network switches 7K, and DriveNets NOS. Apply advanced knowledge of MPLS, BGP, MP-BGP, EVPN, OSPF, ISIS, Multicast, and L2/L3-VPNs.


REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience in a related occupation utilizing networking technologies including VxLAN, QoS, CoS, BGP, VPLS/VPWS, ethernet, VRFs, security, and firewalls; using virtualized network functions technologies including VNFs, KVM, and VMware; applying advanced knowledge of containerization platforms including Docker and Kubernetes; developing automation using Ansible and Jenkins; applying multivendor platforms expertise of Cisco IOS, IOS-XR, Cisco CRS, Cisco ASR 9000, Juniper MX, and T-Series platforms including JunOS; utilizing scripting experience using Python, Shell, TCL, Perl, and Selenium to create automation; configuring Keysight IXIA, Spirent, ANUE, JDSU, Trex, and Ostinato test equipment; performing switching and transparent bridging using VTP, STP, and RPVST+; using RAD/RADview, Ciena SAOS/NOS, Arista network switches 7K, and DriveNets NOS; and applying advanced knowledge of MPLS, BGP, MP-BGP, EVPN, OSPF, ISIS, Multicast, and L2/L3-VPNs.

Our Senior Member of Technical Staffs earn between $137,900 - $257,400 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
