Job Overview

The AT&T Corporate Communications team is looking for a dynamic, creative and professional communicator, who thrives in a fast-paced, highly accountable and autonomous environment.

Location: This position is based in Dallas, Texas.

Title: Manager Communications & PR

Overall Purpose: You would be responsible for handling crisis communications and managing media issues across a variety of areas that could be brand impacting.

Key Role, Responsibilities and Qualifications: You will play a key role in protecting the AT&T brand, supporting the media relations strategy for a variety of long-term and quick-turn issues. This includes, but is not limited to, communicating with media to fully understand an inquiry, working closely with the business and legal to gather and confirm the facts behind an issue, and developing a recommended media response. Other responsibilities may include reporting, managing communications plans and programs, creating backgrounders and executive briefs, sharing expertise across the team, and writing statements, announcements and blogs. To excel in this role, you must be comfortable working on a diverse scope of problems, quickly evaluating a number of inputs, collaborating across peer groups and managers at all levels, and navigating the media landscape. Additional skills key to the role include critical thinking, problem solving, writing, and maintaining an understanding of industry trends affecting the company.

Education: Preferred Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts.

Experience: Typically, 3-5 years of experience in a related field.

Supervisory: No.

Our Managers of Communications &PR earn between $58,400 - $73,000. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
