Job Overview
DUTIES: Professional - App/Prod Support needed by AT&T Mobility Services, LLC in Dallas, TX (and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home) to serve as a liaison and escalation point for clients and other IT organizations as a subject matter expert across the business and application towers for the business processes they represent. Drive technical problems to resolution. Lead complex production issues including incidents and problems, and areas of focus stretch across the business and may include billing, business intelligence, mobile network, online, microServices and retail point of sale. Work closely with COE and Development organizations for any defects, upgrades, or enhancements. Monitor application availability, or end to end application performance and metrics, via a standard tool set and take proactive actions as issues arise. Interface closely with 3rd party vendors as needed to include oversight of vendor/supplier functions. Identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to improve application performance. Oversee SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and provide input on long range planning to Business Partner liaison and reporting. Translate business/customer/incidents issues into specific systems, applications or process design to perform risk analysis and create mitigation strategies with continuous evaluation and validation or system design and architecture. Align solutions with standards and best practices working with cross functional teams/clients. Debug/troubleshoot complex problems across an entire stack and identify resolutions. Work closely with internal partners and teams to ensure that systems meet security, SLA, and performance targets. Apply advanced knowledge of Billing, Point of Sale, Customer Care and Digital domains. Utilize scripting technologies: Python, SQL, Azure, and cloud technologies. Establish Elastalert monitoring for new applications and microServices. Identify errors and establish alerts for anomalous events. Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions leveraging Python or other tools. Review capacity utilized to best optimize capacity for both performance and cost. Identify monitoring opportunities as microServices move to public cloud platforms. Design and implement these monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure that support teams have sufficient coverage. Design and build dashboards reflecting key operational metrics. Work with application architects to design and build migration solutions as required. Develop mS in Java for data encryption of UserID and password data for migration to AT&T security. Build CI/CD pipeline to deploy microservices. Build global dashboards in Kibana for anomaly detections. Build anomaly detection dashboard leveraging CCS to determine failures and business impacts across business domains. Work with infrastructure teams on capacity planning for high availability and effective system monitoring. Manage and support production MECH/Machine IDs password changes. Analyze and identify chronic production issues and providing strategies to application teams to resolve and implement sustainable change. Lead and coordinate with offshore production support team during incidents and problems. Utilize the following technology and software: Akamai, Cassandra, ELK, Java, Jenkins, KQL, Maven, Oracle, Python and Prometheus.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electronic Engineering and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience in a related occupation building CI/CD pipeline to deploy microservices; building global dashboards in Kibana for anomaly detections; building anomaly detection dashboard leveraging CCS to determine failures and business impacts across business domains; working with infrastructure teams on capacity planning for high availability and effective system monitoring; managing and supporting production MECH/Machine IDs password changes; analyzing and identifying chronic production issues and providing strategies to application teams to resolve and implement sustainable change leading and coordinating with offshore production support teams during incidents and problems; and utilizing the following technology and software: Akamai, Cassandra, ELK, Java, Jenkins, KQL, Maven, Oracle, Python and Prometheus.
