Job Overview

DUTIES: Principal- Software Engineer needed by AT&T Services, Inc. in Dallas, TX [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home] to design, develop, test, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain software applications and platforms with a particular focus on cybersecurity and securing cloud hosted applications. Collaborate to gather and review software requirements and user stories. Provide estimates, create software design specifications, and collaborate with engineers and architects to create user stories and required acceptance criteria. Provide ideation, design, architecture, implementation of proof-of-concepts, development, testing, creation of infrastructure as code, deployments, and operations of capabilities and services for the Astra security platform. Analyze complex issues and the development, engineering, implementation, and remediation of identified issues. Execute Agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban through application of various programming languages including Java, JavaScript, Typescript, NodeJS, Python, Angular, YAML, Terraform, CloudFormation, MySQL, Elastic Search, DynamoDB, CloudPassage, and Checkpoint. Create and execute automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements. Utilize Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud services including API’s, SDK’s, PowerShell, CLI, Serverless, Container, compute, messaging, queueing, database, storage, and logging. Utilize scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures, and algorithms. Participate in collaboration with team members on integrations with various other platforms and systems including ServiceNow, CCDR, CCRC, and VMS. Provide guidance and technical direction for additional platforms including NACD and Vortex. Create and execute automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients to validate test environments, test data, and test results. Design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results, and produce associated reporting. Perform unit testing, dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing. Support applications and solve configuration and environment issues. Support the software deployment process.


REQUIREMENTS:Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in or Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronic Engineering and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation designing, developing, testing, deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining software applications and platforms with a particular focus on cybersecurity and securing cloud hosted applications; executing Agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban through application of various programming languages including Java, JavaScript, Typescript, NodeJS, Python, Angular, YAML, Terraform, CloudFormation, MySQL, Elastic Search, DynamoDB, CloudPassage, and Checkpoint; utilizing Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud services including API’s, SDK’s, PowerShell, CLI, Serverless, Container, compute, messaging, queueing, database, storage, and logging; designing and implementing code fixes, validating outcomes against expected results, and producing associated reporting; and performing unit testing, dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing.

Our Principal- Software Engineers earn between $134,992 - $254,300 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
