The Team
The Global Growth and Opportunity (GGO) division works to catalyze sustainable transformative change in the face of inequities and market failures, to realize the potential of untapped markets, and to see the economic and social benefits of including everyone. We work with partners across public and private sectors, to support attainment of SDG 2 -a global commitment to tackle undernutrition and hunger.
Your Role
In this role, you will provide organizational and administrative support for the Nutrition Director and Deputy Director, Strategy, Planning, and Management, as well as overall support for the team.
Excellent judgement, attention to detail, proactive thinking and action, ownership of assigned responsibilities, resourceful problem solving, and acting with integrity are all critical skills for success in this role. Working in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders daily, acting as a team player and with a sense of humor is essential for success.
What You’ll Do
- Schedule a high volume of appointments and meetings with participants in multiple time zones, manage complex calendars for multiple people, and manage all travel arrangements and visa applications for the Director. Proactively anticipate administrative needs and propose resolutions.
- Support Nutrition team, including leading team meetings and developing associated agendas, action items, and notes.
- Assist in scheduling and planning for events, such as team retreats, external partner meetings, conferences, and presentations, which may include coordinating arrangements for participants, handling logistics, preparing, and disseminating materials.
- Maintain organized files, records, and a system for tracking, monitoring and prioritizing tasks and projects. Compile and process expense reports, reimbursements, and invoice reconciliation for the Director.
- Responsible for team records and data management, including but not limited to, managing the team SharePoint site, maintaining an organized filing system, etc.
- Work on special projects as needed.
- Support an inclusive culture through modeling behaviors and actions; escalate issues in a timely fashion to appropriate stakeholders.
- Interact and communicate clearly and consistently with grantees and partners in the field.
Your Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience supporting a senior-level executive, or equivalent experience preferably in an administrative role for a complex and fast-paced organization.
- Ability to anticipate next steps, take initiative, exercise discretion while handling confidential information, and apply sound judgment. Has excellent decision-making skills, prioritize effectively, and communicate decisions and processes to execution in a clear, effective manner.
- Proactive in identifying Director and team needs and opportunities; help champion and resolve them.
- Balance quality of work with meeting deadlines while making the best use of available time and resources. Demonstrated ability to lead and build relationships to gain the respect and trust of others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated, diverse team; be comfortable in multiple, highly variable settings, with tight deadlines and different work and learning styles. Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, enthusiasm, and diplomacy both individually and as part of a team.
- Experience working on diverse teams that are spread across multiple geographies.
- Demonstrated success in working in a matrix structure to enable and support the success of work outside of direct reporting authority.
- Deep administrative experience with complex calendars and travel support.
- Demonstrated ability to handle a high workload with competing priorities and ask the right questions to effectively provide administrative support and counsel to leaders.
- Understanding or (or ability to quickly learn) foundation priorities and how they align with the goals of the Nutrition team, as well as the foundation’s administrative and policy guidelines.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts and can adjust to a wide variety of working styles.
*Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship. Relocation is not provided for this position.
The salary range for this role is $35.01/hour to $49.00/hour USD. As a mission-driven organization, we strive to balance competitive pay with our mission and new hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary range between the minimum and the midpoint salary range. Actual placement in the range will depend on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process.
