Job Overview:

Coursera’s IT Department is responsible for the Corporate tools and technology that are required for the company to operate efficiently and effectively. We are a growing IT department that plays an integral role in the company’s ability to perform its day-to-day tasks. While supporting an ever-growing number of users with top-tier tools and applications, our IT team is always aiming to achieve the highest goals and produce the best experience possible for our end users.

Coursera is looking for a capable, motivated Digital Employee Experience Sr. Specialist who will work with the Digital Employee Experience team to deliver radical, emergent digital employee experience solutions using ServiceNow. This individual will also be responsible for assisting in our efforts for operation excellence through automation using best-of-breed technologies such as ServiceNow, Workato, Workday, Okta, Slack. As part of a growing IT team you will work in different areas and provide your expertise on best practices and assist in creating more efficient and effective methods to get the job done. Coursera’s IT Team is filled with technical savvy individuals who are curious by nature. This role will have a special focus on ServiceNow and other Cloud Technologies in order to assist in the assessment, implementation, & maintenance of new services.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Digital Employee Experience team to support enhancing employees’ experience in ServiceNow and integrating multiple platforms and systems across the ServiceNow platform;
  • Engage as a ServiceNow technical and solution architect, provide best practice guidance and technical direction, leading the development team to implement solutions including both configuring ServiceNow and developing customizations and integrations;
  • Build on current platform knowledge by learning new modules and broadening skillset;
  • Communicates in formal presentation settings including medium sized groups, internal and external project teams, and business unit events; develops written communications to address varied styles and information needs;
  • Assist in the organization’s goal to attract the best talent, drive performance, development, and retention through coaching and mentoring.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide ServiceNow architectural and methodology oversight for concurrent delivery projects.
  • 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow implementations including write/create advanced custom business rules, client scripts, script includes, UI policies, ACL’s, data policies, UI scripts, and integrations.
  • 5+ years experience working with Web services & Javascript APIs and various integration tools such as Data Import/Export, MID Servers. IntegrationHub, Event-driven integrations, etc.
  • Proven experience in defining and deploying future-state leading practice for ServiceNow application processes and in identifying solutions from a people, process, and technology perspective.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons, and risks) while providing thought leadership to sponsors/stakeholders in solving business processes and/or technical problems.
  • Experience with Agile Development and Scrum methodologies with strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally within the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Iaas, PaaS, iPaaS, & SaaS Integrations
  • A degree or equivalent, preferably in Information Technology
  • ServiceNow certifications
  • Experience in providing training or documenting training guides for non-technical users
  • Experience working with C-level executives and senior level management
