About the Position
Millions of students nationwide lack the access to technology and the skills they need to succeed in the digital world. Since 2012, Verizon has been working to help solve this problem through a transformative program called Verizon Innovative Learning. Our Digital Promise Digital Equity team collaborates with Verizon to equip middle and high school teachers and students across America with technology, access, teacher professional development, and technical support, as well as the opportunity to engage in a unique, immersive curriculum to leverage technology in their classrooms.

The Digital Equity team is seeking a creative, entrepreneurial Senior Operations Associate to join our fast-moving team to support team operations and administration. The Senior Operations Associate will be a key player on the Operations team, keeping our work organized and effective while facilitating growth and change.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate programmatic scheduling and email communication, including scheduling and sending mass emails and calendar invites
  • Manage digital team tools and subscriptions, including tracking of licenses and renewals
  • Provide customer service to staff and outside vendors, answering questions and providing assistance as required.
  • Assist with logistics for events and team meetings
  • Assist in the administration of contracts via Salesforce
  • Support for financial tasks, including monthly credit card reconciliation, purchase order creation, and supply ordering
  • Work closely with the People & Equity team and Directors of IPLC and Operations on on-boarding and orientation logistics of new employees
  • Monitor and respond to program general email inbox
  • Opportunity to lead special projects that help make Operations more inclusive, equitable and effective
  • Prepare and maintain operations documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Skill in identifying personal biases that influence one’s own cognition and behavior
  • Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

Lifelong Learning

  • Skill in acquiring new knowledge through professional development activities for one's self, such as participating in coaching, attending professional conferences, self-directed reading, and monitoring industry trends

Education

  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree, or equivalent experience

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in operations, administration, and/or project management
  • Stellar organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage competing tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills a must.
  • Exercise good judgment within defined procedures and practices
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service
  • Contributes to improving organizational culture, including DEIB goals and principles
  • Ideal: experience with Zoom, Google suite, Egencia, Concur SAP, LastPass, Slack, Asana
  • Must be tech savvy in the use and administration of online platforms and software

Working Conditions:

Digital Promise Global is a hybrid organization. Employees are expected to travel at least 4 times
a year for in-person meetings and the annual staff retreat. Additional travel may be required based
on role and responsibilities.

engagement & communication. Must be willing to build inclusive relationships and collaborate with
employees at all levels within the organization and external partners.

Occasional work outside of normal business hours, such as weekends and evenings required.

Compensation

We consider candidate experience and location when determining where a candidate may fall within that range. Digital Promise Global offers a competitive total rewards package including coverage of 85% of health insurance premiums for employee coverage and 75% of health insurance premiums for dependent and family coverage, 15 vacation days, 12 sick days, 3% 401k employer contribution, 3% employer 401k match, and a flexible work environment.

The full-time salary range for the Senior Operations Associate position based on geographical regions are listed below, with exact salary depending on relevant experience.

National: $55,080 - $64,800
California: $67,320 - $79,200
DC & NYC: $61,200 - $72,000
