About the Opportunity

As a Technical Trainer, you will use your skills and expertise to develop and deliver high quality, innovative and effective training experiences to our customers, partners and employees with the goal of improving technical knowledge and increasing adoption of Ellucian products.  

Where you will make an impact

  • Become the subject matter expert and trainer of Ellucian products, specifically, Colleague.
  • Educate customers on technical aspect of Ellucian software configuration and use
  • Conduct technical training and development programs to improve customer adoption of Ellucian products;
  • Deliver technical training to diverse audiences with various skill levels of expertise.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement through evaluation of training programs
  • Maintain hands-on learning lab infrastructure; prepare environments for each course; review environment content as it relates to course after upgrades
  • Keep abreast of information technology training needs, trends, methods, and techniques
  • Partner with Product teams to understand technical products
  • Partner with other key roles on the Production Team to form a cohesive, in-depth training vision for supporting Ellucian Customers, employees, and partners


What you will bring

  • 2+ years of training and education experience
  • Practical experiencedelivering technical training courses, curriculums, and programs
  • Understanding the software development lifecycle and have experience partnering with IT to deliver effective end user training
  • Experience teaching in a classroom environment
  • Understanding of the use of Student Information Systems from the user perspective as well as that of an Information Technology professional supporting institutional customers in maintaining those functions of the system.
  • Ability to work independently and under own direction and initiative
  • Communication and presentation skills –written and oral
  • Experience teaching technical topics in a remote environment
  • Strong organizational skills
