About the opportunity
\n
The Ellucian Texas Connection Consortium (TCC) R&D team is seeking interns to contribute to the global SaaS solution for our Texas clients. The software solutions this team builds deliver top of the line solutions to turn higher ed institution data into actionable business insights for academic and financial success.
\n
Our work uses various technologies including Postgres, AWS, Python, NodeJS, Angular and React to form both our front-end user experiences and associated back-end processes to transform and set a customer's data into our visualization solutions.
\n
Potential candidates should possess a fundamental understanding of a database query language such as PostgreSQL or SQL plus, a fundamental understanding of front-end and/or back-end web application development, and a bonus would be exposure to a C language such as C or C++. Interns will also have the opportunity to contribute to our existing patterns and SDK components during their time here at Ellucian. Fresh, new insights and ideas into web application architecture and development are encouraged in a world with ever-changing tech stacks.

Apart from some solid foundations in the above technologies, we would also like to see candidates with a strong willingness to learn both on their own and through collaboration with team members. This will build communication skills that will allow you to thrive in your future career paths. As an intern with the TCC team, you can expect to work daily with experienced software engineers, analysts, architects and UX Designers.

Proof of concept projects regarding new technologies, including mobile or expanding technologies already in use by our clients

Assist with exploratory projects that are currently in development to research and develop solutions for questions not yet answered

Participate in the evolution of Ellucian SaaS solutions and become a true cloud leader in the market

About the opportunity
The Ellucian Texas Connection Consortium (TCC) R&D team is seeking interns to contribute to the global SaaS solution for our Texas clients. The software solutions this team builds deliver top of the line solutions to turn higher ed institution data into actionable business insights for academic and financial success.
Our work uses various technologies including Postgres, AWS, Python, NodeJS, Angular and React to form both our front-end user experiences and associated back-end processes to transform and set a customer's data into our visualization solutions.
Potential candidates should possess a fundamental understanding of a database query language such as PostgreSQL or SQL plus, a fundamental understanding of front-end and/or back-end web application development, and a bonus would be exposure to a C language such as C or C++. Interns will also have the opportunity to contribute to our existing patterns and SDK components during their time here at Ellucian. Fresh, new insights and ideas into web application architecture and development are encouraged in a world with ever-changing tech stacks.
Apart from some solid foundations in the above technologies, we would also like to see candidates with a strong willingness to learn both on their own and through collaboration with team members. This will build communication skills that will allow you to thrive in your future career paths. As an intern with the TCC team, you can expect to work daily with experienced software engineers, analysts, architects and UX Designers.
Where you will make an impact:
Proof of concept projects regarding new technologies, including mobile or expanding technologies already in use by our clients
Assist with exploratory projects that are currently in development to research and develop solutions for questions not yet answered
Participate in the evolution of Ellucian SaaS solutions and become a true cloud leader in the market
What will you bring:
Undergraduate student (Junior or rising Senior)
Significant coursework in Computer Science or other technical degree program.
Top-notch computer programming skills.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
Familiar with common data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented and basic functional idioms
Strong web development concepts (html, css, javascript)
.Net or Java knowledge
Understanding of basic Linux and command line usage
