About the opportunity

At Ellucian, our Experience Design Team is committed to creating innovative higher ed solutions that empower institutions to deliver positive student outcomes. In this position you will get a deep dive into the User Experience (UX) process from discovery to delivery. You will participate in user research, solution and system design projects, create design assets, and fine-tune your storytelling skills. If you are a student with a strong sense of design and looking to break into the world of User Experience Design, please apply.

Where you will make an impact

  • Collaborate with a dynamic team of user interface and visual designers, user researchers, and product managers and developers to craft exceptional and accessible product experiences.
  • Participate in discovery phase activities such as design sprints and user research where you will write research plans, create early concept designs and prototypes, and test those concepts.
  • Participate in design phase activities where you will hone and test your designs.
  • Participate in the delivery phase where you will produce high fidelity design specifications.
  • The outcome of these activities, in addition to being learning opportunities in a professional setting, will be the development of innovative and REAL solutions for students and institutions.

What you will bring

  • Background in digital design (graphic or visual design, user interface or interaction design, etc.) 
  • Strong interest in User Experience design
  • At least a beginner's level knowledge of industry standard design/prototype tools
  • Experience with Figma is a plus
  • Portfolio showcasing design and problem-solving skills
