About the Opportunity

Ellucian is currently looking to add a Senior Professional Service Consultant with Banner Student implementation experience to our team. As one of our most senior professional services team members, you will be instrumental in consulting with our customers and delivering services that provide the quickest path to institutional success with training, onboarding and deployment of Banner Student processes with our higher education customers. Higher education customers are transforming to modern campuses while leveraging technology and solutions to enable student success. In this mission critical role, you will partner with our customers to help enable their business office including transformation to cloud/SAAS solutions and successful adoption of these solutions.
Where you will make an impact 

  • Act as a thought leader for and key contributor to our Banner Student implementations, able to lead and influence client teams at all levels.
  • Provide advice and guidance on industry best practices and best practices for implementing Banner Student in the US and potentially abroad, working with leadership and staff in colleges and universities to ensure the Banner Student solution is implemented & configured to best align to institutional processes and academic and business needs.
  • Support customers in making a smooth transition from their existing finance systems or processes, applications, and processes to Banner
  • Student processes through implementation efforts and, where appropriate ongoing consulting. Providing change management advice as appropriate.
  • Perform and document business process review and analysis of client business requirements. Gather and document business requirements, discuss adoption of Student best practices, and brief the implementation team on requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to derive maximum value from the Banner Student solution, in conjunction with all other Ellucian solutions.
  • Collaborate with existing Student consulting resources to work towards a continuous improvement approach to the consulting practice: refine delivery and engagement materials, facilitate team-wide group presentations and knowledge-sharing activities, and other team activities that drive towards the continuous improvement of the delivery of Student services.
  • Take active role in identifying, communicating, and advancing internal process improvement suggestions/initiatives.
  • Participate in Ellucian company-wide cross-departmental initiatives as required.
  • As an experienced consultant on the Ellucian team, ability to act as a role model for other more junior consultants.

 

What you will bring

  • At least 5-7 years, preferably more, experience working in field of Academic Student. Role(s) in Academic Student field should have demonstrated deep understanding of Academic Student standards and practices at an accredited institution of higher education in the United States or abroad. Roles with increasing levels of responsibility and oversight are particularly preferred.
  • At least 1-3 years, preferably more, experience working in a training or consulting context (assisted in team trainings, system implementation, or other collaborative learning/teaching experience).
  • Must have experience with Banner Student.
  • Must have the ability to explain solutions to diverse customers, and ensure they are able to use applications and functionality effectively to accomplish their work.
  • This position requires enthusiasm and energy; willingness to learn and adapt quickly; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and previous experience conducting training sessions.
  • The successful candidate must be a disciplined self-starter, able to work on multiple projects concurrently, and must be able to meet or exceed deadlines for customer and internal deliverables.
  • The successful candidate must also be able to collaborate effectively and willingly and must be an engaged and interactive member of a large and very experienced team.
