Your Impact

The Email Developer is responsible for the development of highly dynamic email marketing and servicing campaigns. You have a passion for creative work and coding emails that look exactly like the original designs and that support business objectives. You’ll apply your deep knowledge of HTML/CSS to code personalized, responsive customer-facing email communications using best practices to optimize for desktop and mobile email clients. You’re a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing deadlines, and obtaining necessary approvals, and you have a thorough understanding of email marketing principles and email development best practices.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of email marketing principles and email development best practices
• Ability to hand code HTML and CSS for email
• Knowledge of HTML email rendering bugs and workarounds
• Experience debugging cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility issues
• Must be able to troubleshoot without WYSIWYG assistance
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
• General proficiency in Photoshop
• Strong organization and project management skills
• Excellent visual, verbal and written communication
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to troubleshoot and support dark mode
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong quality assurance skills
• 3-5 years of experience coding and testing emails
• Must be able to provide samples, including code

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify responsive email and email templates, including templates that are optimized for dark mode
• Design, code, test, and debug ad hoc emails and large email campaigns
• Ensure emails render error-free and as expected in Litmus
• Create, re-size, and optimize images and graphics for the web
• Keep up with industry standards and new best practices in email development
• Contribute wherever necessary to help the team reach its goals
