Job Duties: Vice President, Software Engineering with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in Richardson, Texas. Responsible for on-line product services for savings and lending accounts, and building credit card processing platform with customer facing functionality. Develop front end experience (Servicing Agent Desktop Systems), in Javascript using React and Redux. Develop back end systems, APIs, using Java, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka and MongoDB. Develop automated tests and work with a Test Driven Development approach. Participate in all Agile SCRUM ceremonies, such as standups, and provide daily updates on development progresses. Communicate effectively with a distributed team across four locations, including India and escalate blockers and issues. Participate in business and product meetings and understand functional requirements first-hand. Write comprehensive automated tests to ensure high quality deliverables with no regression and perform code and architecture review. Work in an Agile environment using SCRUM, utilizing the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Work in close collaboration with product, quality assurance, and technical teams. Identify best practices and work with development team to advance the Firm’s state of the art technology. Execute independently without close oversight from a direct manager.

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, an Engineering specialty, such as Industrial and Systems Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related technical position OR Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, an Engineering specialty, such as Industrial and Systems Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related technical position. Must have two (2) years of experience (with Master’s) or five (5) years of experience (with Bachelor’s) with the following skills: developing back end systems, APIs, using Java, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ, and MongoDB; communicating complex technical terms to stakeholders and collaborating with other team members to build large scale systems; working across the entire SDLC for application development, including gathering requirements, designing, developing, reviewing, building, testing and deploying software; developing web applications in Javascript using React, HTML and Redux; working in an Agile environment and participating in SCRUM ceremonies, such as standups and grooming sessions; and developing automated tests for all development work using JUnit integration testing or Cucumber. Must have two (2) years of experience with: working with non-technical, business and product, personnel to gather requirements.
