The Operations business partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation. Operations span all product lines and markets.

Asset & Wealth Management - Asset Management Operations is responsible for front-to-back operational support to the Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Merchant Bank businesses in service, delivery, and processing functions across the trade, client, and product lifecycle.


The Real Estate Portfolio Servicing team supports the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Urban Investment Group (UIG) businesses which deal with a varied variety of traditional and alternative products across equity and loans. Our teams execute within a front to back operating model, delivering support across the client, product, and investment lifecycle with the ultimate aim of delivering greater accuracy, control and efficiency for our clients and our business. We conduct risk oversight, provide change management, business intelligence, and market solutions for the division. A key focus for the organization is establishing and following strong risk management procedures and controls to ensure the firm and our clients are protected. The role provides a great opportunity to work with colleagues across multiple Deal Teams, Operations, Controllers, Legal, Credit, Asset Managers, Compliance, Technology and Treasury to ensure that we provide excellent client service.


The team is responsible for -

  • Managing all processing activities in various proprietary firmwide and enterprise loan and equity systems
  • Investigating and resolving transactional issues across those systems
  • Communicating with external counterparties regarding loan activity (Agent, Lender, Borrower or Servicers)
  • Working with property management companies to manage monthly expenses for each of our real estate properties
  • Communicate closely with internal stakeholders such as Deal Team, Legal, Compliance, Treasury, Asset Manager, etc., on transaction closing and during life cycle events



  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of prior work experience in a relevant field.
  • Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of industries and businesses
  • Ability to self-direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgments
  • Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and global stakeholders
  • Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information
