Seller Financing
Seller Financing is a business line in Platform Solutions in Goldman Sachs. The business provides credit products to merchants that operate on a partner platform. Seller Financing is responsible for originations, servicing, collections and managing the end-to-end client experience including all internal policies and processes and external regulatory requirements.
The Seller Financing Product Manager role will own the product delivery including managing business risks and controls for the business. This includes delivering features and products for client needs, resolving client related issues, adhering to Compliance and all regulatory requirements, credit risk management and any other ongoing operating obligations such as financial and data reporting.
As a product manager you will:
- Define our product strategy and design experience to provide clients with the best end-to-end client experience
- Establish or participate in agile product discipline which establish rhythm for the team, promote ongoing communication, and iterative refinement of roadmaps
- Document clear user stories and acceptance criteria to collaborate, direct, and inform engineering and partner team resources in quick sprint increments
- Drive build-vs-buy decisions in the product development process, combing the landscape for potential Fintech partners in various stages of maturity
- Test and iterate in small-scale pilots to validate concepts, refine them to achieve product-market fit to driving full scale implementation and go to marketing programs
- Define and own internal business policies and processes to support the operating business
- Work with cross-functional teams to manage ongoing business operations from client selection and acquisition, to client service, and any client monitoring capabilities
- Identify product and business risks or gaps and build appropriate controls for risk mitigation
- Define learning agenda and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success/failure
- Regularly and systematically use data to uncover opportunities, track product performance, and drive decision-making
- Prioritize, negotiate and remove blockers to orchestrate successful launch or optimization cycle
What we are looking for:
- Prior Small Business and/or Middle Market lending or Payment experience is required
- Experience operating the day-to-day of any credit/Payment experience with a focus on establishing policies, processes and risk infrastructure
- Proven experience in and passion for building and shipping great products
- Exceptional communication skills- someone who is an engaging storyteller and is at ease presenting to executives
- Creative problem solver who lives at the intersection of Human, Business and Technology dimensions. Deep fluency and experience in at least two of these dimensions, with solid understanding of the third
- Blend of both strategic and tactical thinking- someone who can identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts, and then organize thematic work areas in deep detail, thus aligning long term vision with iterative execution
- Strong quantitative background to support data-informed decision making
- Collaborative, team player attitude with the ability to navigate and influence the organization
- Comfortable in the fast lane: Experience with driving rapid team and product growth

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of experience in product management or business management
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or Master’s degree
- 5+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into business growth
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $115000-$270000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
