Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with The Ayco Company, L.P., A Goldman Sachs Company in Dallas, Texas. Prospect new clients through various Firm approved channels, assess each prospect situation for Firm fit, and communicate the service, platform, investment approach, market views, and any Firm content to address concerns or questions that must be answered for them to become a client. Advise clients in the areas of investment, tax retirement, education, insurance, and estate planning, working closely with team support to client’s financial needs and objectives. Actively monitor financial markets, specific investments in client’s portfolios, and keep abreast of new investment strategies and investment vehicles to continue to provide the best possible level of service to all firm clients. Take a holistic view of each client’s financial needs and goals under the direction and supervision of the Region Head and/or Business Unit Manager, ensuring clients remain on track to obtain goals. Act as the primary liaison with client’s accountants, attorneys and other advisors and create a strong relationship as a team to ensure a comprehensive wealth management plan. Maintain a thorough understanding of the client’s situation resulting in the ability to review each deliverable with the client, including Investment performance with limited oversight of the Region Head or Business Unit Manager. Proactively identify client issues and/or opportunities identified because of having an intimate knowledge of the client’s entire financial life. Reviewing statements, forecasting review data, developing a meeting agenda format, creating presentations, case documentation and deliverables for all assigned clients.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Prior experience must include at least three (3) years of experience: working in an advisor or relationship manager role. Prior experience must include at least two (2) years of experience with: working as a Wealth Advisor, Financial Advisor or Financial/Business Consultant; explaining current financial markets and contributing macro and micro economic environments to clients; wealth management concepts such as asset allocation, financial products (including stocks, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds, or alternative investments), and trading experience; financial planning, including analysis of tax situations, estate planning and cash flow analysis; monitoring and managing risk within portfolios; regulations and compliance, including Know Your Client (KYC); communicating with clients, including the know-how on dealing with clients, even when they are dissatisfied; speaking publicly to a variety of audiences in a professional setting; and prioritizing multiple tasks and anticipating potential client issues. License required: FINRA Series 7 and Series 66. Travel required: At least 15% of the time for regular in-person client meetings. Domestic travel only. All costs covered by Firm.
