Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, Texas. Perform analysis to detect anomalies in the reporting data, investigate reporting issues demonstrating aptitude to work with range of data sets from big data to samples as a means of facilitating commercial activity, as well as responding to internal client or external regulatory inquiries. Identify solutions to correct system issues, document requirements to high quality, perform tests to identify an accurate resolution, and document project requirements in JIRA. Perform verification, validations and testing of the data provided by code developers prior to submission. Identify control gaps in regulatory reporting, monitor process procedures, and work in conjunction with technology teams to implement process improvements. Research the cause of upstream or processing issues that cause regulatory reporting discrepancies and apply technical solutions, financial product knowledge, analysis of technical systems and other methodologies to determine solution design with various teams. Prepare data posting and summarization for posting on monthly basis that highlights risks, progress, and next steps to senior stakeholders in various divisions. Utilize analytical skills to help contribute to the execution of non-financial reporting that is submitted to regulatory agencies and develop a strong working knowledge of the rules underlying the regulatory obligations under which the team reports and reconciles.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related computational or analytical field, such as Chemical Engineering. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years in the following: utilizing data programming languages including one of following: SQL, C++, Java, Python, or VBA; working with large data sets and industry standard Business Intelligence tools, including experience with at least two of the following: Tableau, Alteryx, or Bloomberg Regulatory Reporting Services; communicating highly technical and privileged information to business stakeholders and team members in a clear and concise manner; preparing and presenting reports containing key functional performance indicators to senior management; working on and prioritizing multiple projects with competing deadlines, including projects involving documenting technological build requirements and enhancement of technological and operational controls based on interpretation of regulatory rules; participating in discussions and influencing outcomes in industry groups, through soliciting inputs from internal stakeholders following discussions to form views on key decision points; and handling, managing, and contributing toward regulatory enquiries.
