The Consolidated Trade Ledger (CTL) is a program to rearchitect all Global Markets ledgers through the creation of a new ledger platform on cloud that will simplify and unify the representation and distribution of all trade, transaction, and position data. The development of a single golden source data store on a robust, modern platform will unlock massive efficiency, growth, and innovation for the business.

GBM CTL Front Office Platform Engineering is responsible for driving the CTL integration strategy for Global Markets front office systems for trade execution and risk management. This team works in close collaboration with other engineering teams front to back in building various product and event data models, services, and provide ledger requirements for integration with front office systems.

Your Impact

The team is looking to expand in Bengaluru to work on initiatives for building new and innovative solutions for CTL integration strategy. You will be working closely with multiple engineering teams front to back to help design and build various front office foundational services and help onboard businesses onto the strategic ledger platform. You will work with some of the best minds in the industry and get an opportunity to interact with various engineering teams across the globe to achieve common goals front to back.

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for a senior developer with strong communication skills who will play a key role in helping drive and deliver key initiatives. We expect you to help mentor the junior members of the team and build a team culture that promotes innovation and creative thinking to build modern robust systems. Effectively meeting the demands of our challenging mandate requires a passion for learning as well as deep understanding and experience across a wide array of technical competencies.

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, building distributed scalable systems
  • A solid understanding of object orientated programming skills (Java or any other OO technology) including data structures and algorithms
  • Sound SDLC practices and ability to debug and troubleshoot problems
  • Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated
  • Experience collaborating in global teams and possesses strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working on high availability, critical systems
  • Familiarity with Git, awareness of CI/CD and other modern SDLC practice
  • gRPC, protobuf, Cloud technologies, specifically Google Cloud (GCP)
  • Data Modeling (Legend/Alloy) and API design
  • Knowledge of Financial Services – Trade models and product knowledge are added advantage
