Job Description

Job Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Apply skills in financial modelling, financial analysis, economic analysis, and valuation analysis using proprietary frameworks that support investment decisions and give recommendations in the team’s portfolios. Provide support to the senior portfolio managers with RFPs (Requests for Proposals), development of model portfolios as well as ensure that portfolio construction and risk is appropriate to meet client objectives. Monitor portfolios’ position weights and risk analytics compared to benchmarks and targets and highlight deviations and work with trading desks to rebalance portfolios. Investigate performance (attribution outliers) and positioning discrepancies. Assist with trading activity for client contributions or withdrawals. Facilitate successful account openings and closings and liaise with sales and PMs to address client requests.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field. Employer will accept single degree or any combination of degrees, certificates and/or professional work experience where determined to be equivalent to U.S. bachelor's degree by a qualified credential evaluation service. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have five (5) years of prior experience with: analyzing, and monitoring fixed income securities and portfolios across a variety of strategies and client types; and monitoring Product Valuation and Bond Characteristics and highlight abnormal deviations from benchmark and positioning discrepancies. Must have one (1) year of prior experience with: analyzing the impact of macro market environment and its effect on a portfolio's positioning and performance; monitoring impact that client guidelines and constraints may have on the management of Fixed Income portfolios across various strategies and investigating practical implications of constraints and recommend proxy trades; and conducting risk analysis to understand impact of client guidelines and constraints on asset allocation and risk profiles of portfolios.

Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $174,000 - $290,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
