ASSET & WEALTH MANAGEMENT: REGULATORY SOLUTIONS

We work with specialists and groups from around the firm to help individuals and institutions across various industries navigate changing markets and to provide them with a diverse offering of product solutions. The Asset & Wealth Management Strategic Transformation Office is a recently established entity tasked with overseeing comprehensive large-scale transformations. Our primary objectives are to enhance scalability, drive revenue growth, improve client experience, and elevate controls to optimize our operating platform. This group comprises of four critical functions, including (1) Product Management & Design, (2) Change Management, (3) Regulatory Management, and (4) Monitoring & Testing.

The global AWM Regulatory Management team acts as the key partner for the AWM business for regulatory matters. The team manages the regulatory strategy and roadmap for the AWM business providing coverage on global regulations and policies landscape. The team is responsible for reviewing the regulatory horizon, analyse upcoming regulations and assess impact to the business products, activities, and investors/consumers. Regulatory Solutions act as co-sponsors of the new regulations and represents the views of the business on regulatory change governance forums. The team is also responsible for performing regulatory due diligence for new business activities by performing detailed regulatory assessments for the launch of new products, funds or trading activity keeping in mind current live and new upcoming regulatory considerations. The team has strong stakeholder relationships with AWM Business, Legal, Compliance, Engineering and other functional teams, who they work with closely on the above regulatory objectives.

HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Build strong senior stakeholder relationships that will be required when performing complex analysis across multiple businesses and propose solutions to these stakeholders for new regulatory changes
  • Build a deep understanding of the Asset and Wealth Management business through analysing the applicability and impact of new regulatory policies and rules to each business area
  • Learn to break down complex problems (regulatory challenges) by collaborating with the team, key stakeholders, and regulatory experts within the firm
  • Lead strategic cross divisional discussions, deploying appropriate methodologies and governance tools, to drive the timely delivery of analysis and agreed approach
  • Exert influence and impact, to drive the engagement, the impact analysis and to agree the key implementation considerations

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Required – minimum 4+ years’ relevant experience, in a comparable role
  • Required – understanding or asset management products (closed/open funds, traditional or alternatives), the wealth management investment platform (which includes investment advice, trust & estate planning, liquidity and lending), and wider operational platform/ecosystems
  • Preferred – 3+ years’ experience in the consulting industry, preferable regulatory change/consulting and working in the capital markets / asset management practice (or group)
  • Preferred – 2+ years’ experience working as part of business or regulatory function owning the regulatory strategy, roadmap, analysis and implementation of new regulations for the business
  • Preferred – 3+ years’ experience working as part of Asset and/or Wealth management Risk, Controllers, Compliance or Audit functions with active involvement on regulation assessments and implementations
  • Have a strategic mindset with strong problem-solving skills, data analysis skills, and able to provide creative & innovative solutions
  • Strong change management skills including definition of business case & scope, articulation of issues, challenges, risks, dependencies & solutions, status reporting and test execution
  • A proven track record of owning, designing, and executing solutions for complex problems.
  • Proven experience in building and managing senior stakeholder relationships, coordinate and collaborate strong-minded stakeholders across functions and influencing them to focus on the key problems and outcomes
  • Drive to execute, ability to collaborate and learn from others in the team and deliver high quality deliverables
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and oral; confident in interaction with senior stakeholders

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
