GLOBAL BANKING & MARKETS

We make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock, options and futures exchanges worldwide. Through our global sales force, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, trading ideas, market information and analysis.

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted function that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.

YOUR IMPACT

Loan Operations is seeking a professional to provide middle office support for EMEA & Asia PAR trading portfolio. The role involves (but is not limited to) monitoring trading systems for new trades; confirming said trades with outside clients; insuring the proper internal approvals are obtained; producing and monitoring confirms; drafting transfer documents, and prepare trade proceeds calculations and ensure trades are settled within our system. The role provides a high level of interaction with trading, sales and outside clients, as well as exposure to in-house lawyers, compliance, credit, regulatory teams and other Operations areas covering the trading desk. The Bank Loans trading desk is a highly demanding business and priorities can change daily. The team needs people, who can both prioritise and display flexibility; who will pay close attention to detail and display a high standard for accuracy and responsiveness; who have a positive attitude and will work towards accomplishing the goals of the team.


OUR IMPACT

Loan Operations is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate transaction processing across a broad range of products. Generally, the products supported are complex instruments that require close alignment with the business. A key focus for the organization is establishing strong risk management procedures and controls to ensure the firm and our clients are properly protected.

Middle Office supports the Credit Sales & Trading desk by working with Client, Sales/Trading desks and other stakeholders to resolve any open questions/issuest. The team monitors and controls operational risk throughout the trade processing life cycle, closely reviewing Trade Confirmation, allcation, facilitation and verification to Client accounts & necessary documents for trade settlements. The team collaborates with our technology & business partners to enhances sytems & workflows.


JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSBILITIES

  • Become a subject matter expert to mitigate risk and drive efficiencies
  • Have a front-to-back understanding of the loan product and the events associated with it by managing a complex portfolio and be an SME.
  • Leverage the in-depth knowledge to help out the team with complicated transactions and drive solutions in an effective manner.
  • Maintain a clean inventory for the team and perform effective EOD checks.
  • Encourage holistic risk mindset and proactive escalation within the team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of experience in financial services
  • Candidate must be comfortable in a high-pressured environment
  • Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability, control mentality and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for building relationships, along with the ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal and external clients with differing levels of product experience
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability of projects & tasks, has strong organizational skills and effectively manages competing priorities  Operations client facing role experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • High attention to detaill

    PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Front office roles
  • Excellent written communication and presentations skills
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
  • Fast learner with the ability to process large amounts of information to determine operational requirements and potential issues
