Job Summary:
The Tax Administrative Coordinator is responsible for executing local office(s) tax administration processes as directed by National Tax Administration and the Office Administrator in compliance with firm policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations.
Job Duties:
- Reviews GoFileRoom to ensure the office is in compliance with best practices and procedures which includes:
- Timely completion of deliverables
- Ensuring that all relevant BDO office information is accurate in the workflows
- Appropriate use of tax years
- Tracking entities separately
- Completion of workflows
- Works with the Office Administrator to ensure administrative personnel are following tax best practices and procedures
- Works with office managing partner or Office Administrator to ensure the tax professionals are following tax best practices and procedures
- Conducts tax processes such as
- Due date tracking
- E-filing
- May supervise the following tax processes:
- Tax return processing
- Scanning and paperless procedures
- Tax engagement letters
- Works in GoSystem RS to ensure administrative processes are completed accurately such as
- E-filing
- E-file acceptance acknowledgements
- Tax return rollovers
- Printing organizers
- Populating document management system fields
- Runs reports as needed
- GoSystem RS queries
- GoFileRoom (GFR) -Due dates and outstanding workflows
- E-filing status reports
- May assist with ordering tax supplies to include:
- Mastering tax guides
- Codes and regulations
- Other tax technical materials
- Tax folders
- Provides feedback to the Office Administrator on tax administrative personnel performance as requested
- May assist other offices with tax administrative duties as requested (E-filing or GoFileRoom (GFR) administration)
- Other duties as required
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
- High school diploma, required. Associate or Bachelor degree, preferred
Experience:
- More than three (3) years related work experience, required
- Prior experience in a professional services firm, required
- Knowledge of tax deadlines, tax forms and tax processing procedures, preferred
License/Certifications:
- N/A
Software:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook, required
- PeopleSoft experience, preferred
Language:
- N/A
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Good judgment and strong reasoning skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate with diverse personalities in a tactful and mature manner
- Ability to communicate tactfully and professionally in high demand situations
- Excellent written and verbal communicate skills
