Job Duties: Associate, Risk Governance with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in Chicago, Illinois. Handle all aspects of issue identification, analysis, remediation and monitoring & reporting, including collaboration with issue owners, aggregation of issues across the business, and facilitation of executive reporting. Work cross functionally with Product, Business Analytics, Compliance, Internal Audit to ensure products and processes are compliant with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Identify product and process gaps within business, improvement opportunities, potential business risks and make recommendations for additional controls and corrective action to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of risk mitigation process. Gather and synthesize data to perform root cause analysis and determine thematic trends related to business issues and propose corrective actions to stakeholders. Lead and deliver executive reporting and other data-driven deliverables, with a focus on providing appropriate content, context, and structure in a precise and timely manner. Focus on continuous improvement and evolution to meet changing requirements to support maximum visibility to the executive audience. Coordinate and facilitate the business controls meeting with key executive stakeholders. Work effectively with cross-function on issues in establishing communication plans and ensuring their execution. Execute advanced operational risk, process, and control validation and/or assessment.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Risk Management, Business, Finance or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years with the following: risk management frameworks and regulations; project management, product management, analytical and research skills to manage projects from inception through completion; management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma and Visio; using advanced analytical tools such as Excel, including Macros, VBA and VLOOKUP formulas, but not limited to SQL, Python, and Alteryx; and Microsoft tool suite, PowerPoint, and Word for reporting. Experience building reports and presentations. Prior experience must include one (1) year with the following: negotiating terms that results in favorable outcome for all parties.
