Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience developing development test solutions
  • Experience in the development of manufacturing test software

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the development of manufacturing test solutions for complex computing, camera and display products
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python
  • Experience in test development with CM, ODM, and/or JDM partners
  • Ability to generate product-specific test strategy, plans, and execute testing
  • Ability to communicate clearly with Contract Manufacturers (CM) and peers in worldwide geographies
  • Ability to navigate and influence cross-team stakeholders at executive levels

About the job

As a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer, you will evaluate the product designs and create the manufacturing test processes, fixtures, tools and procedures for sub-systems that enable Starline products. You will collaborate with Operations Managers and Design Engineers to determine product needs and specifications. You will design test systems and work with vendors to ensure various subsystems come together for state of the art starline systems.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$254,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop per-product end-to-end process design, manufacturing test methodology, or strategy and test plan.
  • Work with designers to ensure the system is built for testability by applying Design For Test (DFT) and lead cross-functional product test discussions.
  • Design, build and deploy test platforms for manufacturing partners and support manufacturing test development for new and/or existing hardware designs.
  • Develop/oversee automated test scripts for board or system functional tests, software installation, burn-in etc.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot manufacturing yield issues and field escapes. Drive issues to closure with preventive measures or design improvements.
