Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in data center architectures and components (e.g., servers, storage, backup, networking, virtualization technology).
  • Experience in cloud migration, disaster recovery, application/servers assessment, and discovery.
  • Ability to speak and write in Korean and English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or other relevant technical field.
  • Experience with deployment methodologies and technologies (e.g., CI/CD, Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
  • Experience in security matters (e.g., authentication protocols, identity and access management systems, key management systems, encryption, securing cloud architectures, network, and end-points security).
  • Experience with containers and associated technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Serverless, and Microservices).
  • Experience with Linux system administration, or Enterprise applications.
  • Experience with cloud-native software development methodologies and tools to support application development/deployment stages (e.g., Jenkins, Spinnaker, Concourse).

As a Customer Engineer, you will regularly answer questions about technical features, help customers design architectures, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential roadblocks related to database migration and data back ends.

Responsibilities

  • Make recommendations on the integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure needed to implement a complete solution providing advice to customers to optimize Google Cloud Platform effectiveness.
  • Support technical relationships with customers, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination and prioritization of solutions impacting customer adoption of Google Cloud.
  • Prepare and deliver product messaging in an effort to highlight the Google Cloud Platform value proposition, using techniques that include whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, and request for information (RFI) response documents.
  • Support local Sales teams in pursuit of key business opportunities and engage customers to address aspects of the data lifecycle.
