Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience working in a display technical environment, or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree
  • 5 years of experience in bringing new display technologies to mass production
  • 3 years of experience in technical leadership

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD in Physics, Optical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or comparable field
  • Practical experience with 3D or lightfield display technology
  • Experience with display module construction, system design, process development, end-to-end quality assurance, calibration of color/brightness/reflectance, visual perception of mura/flicker/color, knowledge/tech transfer to OEMs, driving system issues to closure
  • Ability to speak and write in English, Mandarin, and Korean to optimize communications
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% as needed

About the job

In this role, you will get to work across multiple domains: Displays, Cameras, Design, Fabrication, Quality, Calibration, User Experience, Optics, Electronics, and Software. You'll have the opportunity to make a big impact by ensuring that our displays produce the highest quality visual experience for next-generation telepresence products. You will serve as the focal point between design, engineering, and production teams. You will also drive closure on issues blocking Starline’s revolutionary display roadmap.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$254,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own Project Starline display system, from initial concepts to mass production.
  • Design lightfield display module specifications and identify the best technology options.
  • Validate end-to-end quality, identify root cause, and clarify corrective actions.
  • Close issues blocking technology operation, quality, and production.
  • Be the primary contact and work with manufacturing partners.
