Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in online sales, business development, digital advertising, marketing, or consulting.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Japanese fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in online ad sales, business development, marketing, and/or consulting sales.
  • Experience in the CPG/Retail industry.
  • Ability to deliver results under pressure and show dedication to client services.
  • Ability to quickly complete a large volume of work with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, influencing, organization, communication, and collaborative skills.

About the job

Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing businesses grow. Using your relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

As Account Manager, you will develop and manage relationships with clients and agencies in the retail industry. Additionally, you'll act as an advisor, consultant, and advocate for clients within Google. You will grow existing business, develop business opportunities, and support your team with account and market knowledge and other collateral.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Grow Google’s partner agencies and Retail clients' business base.
  • Provide excellent customer service to Google's advertisers. Identify and solve client problems creatively.
  • Build and foster long-term relationships across all levels with client decision makers, and agency counterparts, to be able to build and carry out long-term digital strategies to optimize their advertising growth.
  • Learn and work with Google's ongoing development of advertiser products to maximize client campaign results.
  • Optimize digital campaigns in order to maximize advertisers' return on investment.
