Electromechanical Technician, Project Starline
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2 years of experience working on electromechanical system integration
- Experience integrating camera, compute, and display modules into high-fidelity prototypes
- Experience with standard lab electromechanical tools (e.g., soldering iron, screw drivers, pliers, wire strippers)
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with laboratory test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, thermocouples, data loggers, etc.)
- Experience with basic machining, 3D printing, and laser cutting
- Experience using MCAD, ECAD, and Linux-based environments
- Ability to deliver high-quality work independently, while highlighting risks and identifying design improvements
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and cross-functional partners

With our team you will have the opportunity to work on the next generation of videoconference and telepresence devices. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team tasked with building, troubleshooting, and testing complex systems.
As an Electromechanical Technician you’ll span a broad range of activities, participate in prototyping of new concepts, and work in a product-oriented development environment. You'll work on small electromechanical assemblies, calibrating highly sensitive components, or assembling and bringing up full video-conferencing stations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Build, test, and maintain advanced telepresence systems.
- Ideate, build, and troubleshoot experimental electromechanical and computational hardware alongside engineering teams and researchers.
- Author and maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Manage of laboratory spaces, inventory control, and component procurement.
