  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: power design, battery charging, high speed design, transmission line and impedance controlled interfaces, PCB manufacturing technologies.
  • Experience in RF, antenna, and mechanical design constraints.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in smartphone development.

Your team designs and builds the hardware, software and networking technologies that power all of Google's services. As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

With your technical expertise, you lead projects in multiple areas of expertise (i.e., engineering domains or systems) within a data center facility, including construction and equipment installation/troubleshooting/debugging with vendors.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $119,000-$175,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Perform product feasibility studies including Printed Circuit Board (PCB) component area placement and circuit implementation and routing studies.
  • Contribute to the electrical design and validation of Google future hardware phone products, focusing on digital interfaces.
  • Work cross-functionally with mechanical, RF, antenna, layout engineers to bring new designs out of the concept phase into our production cycle.
  • Bring design to mass production by reviewing factory test requirements, assisting in software bring up, traveling on-site to the manufacturer to ensure the design is built and tested successfully.
  • Support the team in debugging, troubleshooting, and failure analysis investigation.
