Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in consumer hardware, software/hardware testing tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with end-to-end development of consumer hardware devices while developing and running test plans.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in specialized testing such as production testing, system integration testing, etc.
  • Experience in driving product verification and validation testing across multiple product lines.
  • Experience in scripting and automating various test plans.
  • Experience in working cross-functionally across multiple domains and products.
  • Experience in discovery of systemic issues and relevant debugging.

About the job

In this role, you will develop testing specifications and methodology that deliver the quality Pixel products. You will closely partner with organizations within software and hardware to help review product and feature Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and strategize, plan, and develop testing methodologies that are consistent with the end-user experiences. You will discover systemic product issues, creating test plans and execution, while monitoring and reporting on performance against KPIs. You will work with cross-functional Engineering teams to debug issues and run regression testing, and help automate regression plans using PERL/Python.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $77,000-$110,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop Verification and Validation specifications and methodology.
  • Partner with Hardware and Software teams to help review products and feature KPIs.
  • Strategize, plan, and develop verification and validation methodologies that are consistent with the end user scenarios.
  • Discover systemic issues on consumer hardware products and drive them to fixes.
  • Partner with cross-functional Engineering teams to further triage system issues and drive fixes.
